I'm new to the forum but been reading for a long time hehe.
I bought a 120i E87 N46 Motor as a non runner, really cheap and it had a ton of issues. The issue i have at the moment is a hard start and rough idle only once the car get warmed up. Car keeps dying when I release the throttle.
So i was having a look on INPA and I noticed that my Mass Flow is always 0. So i unplugged it and the car runs the same way. And there is no fault code for the MAF generated, only the Intake air temp. (Mass air and Temp are 1 plug)
I then had a look at the wiring diagrams and noticed that later models and lower powered N46 engines were fitted only with a Intake Air Temp sensor and No DISA either. So I decided to check and when I unplug the DISA no fault code is generated either.
This leads me to believe that the DME firmware that is currently on it is too 'New' or incorrect and I need to flash back to the original or atleast an older version so that the MAF and DISA are used.
On WinKFP it indicates that the Current ZB No. is 7600294, But I can see the original entry on the DME is 7568656.
What SP Daten version do you guys think Im going to have to try get hold of, so that I can flash back to this older version?
Would appreciate any help.
