2004 Z4 roof closing

Is it possible to close the roof remotely with the key fob as i find that mine won't close when pressing the central lock button on the fob? Is it something that BMW has to code or is it not possible at all?

OK, saw Blue Shirt's post in 2014 about the module one can buy to open and close the roof remotely so will consider getting one of those.

The roof should close just like the windows when pressing and holding the lock button.

The module that I mentioned just allows the closing function to complete without holding the button in all the time.

There is a module in the U.K. That allows it to close, gaptech i think it's called

I cannot get the roof to close when locking and holding the lock button on the key fob. Is that something i can get coded at BMW or is it a fault on my car?

I had the same issue with my Z4, if it was built before April 2004 , it will not work for the remote.
Looked at a after market option, but never got around to it.

Manual says : press the unlock button 3 times in a row and it opens the roof. To close the roof remotely after shutting the doors, press unlock 3 times followed by lock once.
