Heya Boys & Girls,

I am new here (hope this topic is in the correct place….) 

Hope you guys can help me here….I am thinking of buying my 1st BMW. Currently I am looking at a 2010 323i E90 M-Sport (145k on the clock, full service history). I can get it for quite a bargain, but not sure about a few things – I NEED YOUR EXPERT ADVICE…LOL!

Now my questions:

• How reliable is this car?
• Is it expensive to maintain?
• On average what can I expect to pay for insurance?
• Roughly, how much is the servicing on this vehicle?
• Any commonly found issues on this model?
• Before I purchase, what should I take a closer look at?

I think these are all the questions I have…for now….hehe.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!!!!

BELOW IS A PIC OF THE BMW

Kind regards,

Hallo Johann

Most cars reliability depends on how the owner took care of it, how they have driven it and how they maintain it. Most non BMW owners ( never owned one ) will tell you stay away ( follow your heart not your ears ). I took the chance about 2.5 years ago and don't think any other brand will change my mind soon. On the insurance it depends what your needs are and the value of the car. And not to forget if you are a male and below a certain age it also counts against you.

My guess would be that car would go between 130 000 and 170 000 and ecpect to pay about 600 to 900 premium on insurance.

Best of luck
