I notice that the electric radiator fan of the car is running all the time when the ignition is switched on. I assume it is only suppose to switch on when the engine is at a certain temperature and switch off again when below that? I also assume that it is time to replace the sender unit that is located in the side of the radiator? Any idea of cost involved? Where to get for the best price in Cape Town?

Update on my first post: the fan does not come on when you switch on the ignition but as soon as the engine is started it comes on. Even when cold (first start up in the morning)! Is there any method to test sender unit?
