1 series e82 vs 2 series

Hi all

I'm looking to get my first car soon and I've been set on the e82 120d for quite some time. Recently however the 220d has caught my eye and I'm seriously considering getting one.

The price difference is however R100 000.

Can anyone say if the 2 series is worth the additional cash?

Hi Bud,

The 220d will have the newer B47 motor and the much better 8 speed auto gearbox. The F series will most likely be specced better. The E82s generally are low spec with a fairly basic interior.


Both cars are good, so you won't go wrong with either.

Personally I’d go for the 2 Series. The interior is just a better place to be in and as stated is most likely better specced.
