Excited to join the group . Recently just grabbed my son a 07 x3 e83 that has been sitting for a year . New to bmw . Thought it would be fun for us to work on it together . Been a heavy truck mechanic for 23 years and mess around with some cars here and there . Just about done with the car and ekpm3 crapped the bed on me after replacing fuel pump and filter / regulator . Dealer wants an arm and a leg for the module . I said no way . Bought a used one and a used general module due to an internal voltage fault I can’t seem to get rid of . Have power and ground at all corresponding pins and replaced ground pins on passenger side splice pack due to greenery . Anywho . I ended up buying a laptop and some software . Anyone have luck programming used modules ? Figured it was worth a shot .
