Hey guys, I'm new here , my names Simon, I'm at my wits end , I'm hoping someone on here can help me I'm lost
Pulled in to a car park turned off my car had a coffee pressed start button ...... Nothing , I called the AA they came and told me that my starter was busted? Great , so towed me home, friend and I fitted a new starter pressed the start button and it just cranks over? Will not fire, called a friend he plugged it in , no sign of any codes that would stop it from firing .... Took the inlet manifold back off only to find my friend had crushed the injector wiring loom between the head and the inlet , so I cut the wires out and replaced them , still won't fire up? So, I have battery , the fuel relay works, the fuel pump buzzes , I've run 12v down the wires from the Ecu end to each of the injectors to see if the power is continuous which it is, there is power to the fuel pressure regulator and to the other end of the rail, I have fuel coming up to the rail? However, when I attach the injector wires back on to the ecu there seems to be no power to the injectors? Why is this? What the heck has gone wrong? Is there some sort of immobiliser due to removing battery ?To note we did disconnect the battery to remove starter I am at my whits end its been completely braining me for days I cannot for the life of me work out why this is doing it? All we have done is change the bleeding starter motor? Any help advice knowledge would be awesome , So, the plot thickens, first question..... How sensitive are crank shaft sensors?? My reason for asking this is , the same "mate" that crushed the injection wiring look , told me that he dropped the new starter motor twice , thinking that he may of dropped it on to the sensor? So, as I say how sensitive are they? Would this effect it?
When plugged in to my pals snap on , it brings up a fault code saying speed sensor or something ? I can't remember ? A friend says that the speed blah blah is actually crank shaft sensor , if the ecu doesn't pick up speed signal the injectors won't power thus not allowing car to start? Anybody have anymore light to shed?
All the fuses in the boot , including the the two 100amp ones behind the fuse panel , the fuses in the glove box and the four fuses in the e box have all been checked checked double checked, they are all working fine, I am lost please help me shed some light on it it's really annoying me now !
I've been told I may need something called INPA to "re-sync" the key , dde, cas, and ecu? As some times when shorted out , they think they are being stolen , so un sync them selves? I've tried everything mate and I am totally lost ? ANY help , or if you have access to INPA or whatever then it will be great , cheers bud sorry it's a long winded text
