As the heading states, even after replacing BOTH components, the local BMW dealer says that the components are programming but faulty, strange because the previous components did the exact same thing and i was told by the BMW Dealer Workshop that either i buy the repair kit for the panoramic sunroof or replace with a good, functioning COMPLETE USED SUNROOF SETUP, which i took off an X5 with just 62000KM,and the parking brake worked on the "donor" vehicle, doesnt work on mine!!!!:yuck: :argh:

Some SEEEEEEEE-REEEEEEEEEEE-AAAAAAAAARS assistance urgently needed

Merry Xmas to all celebrating, have a good one:ty:

Sorry, can't help with the symptoms you've described, but I've highlighted a potential issue above - seems like the dealer is giving you a bit of B$. Perhaps try another dealer in Gauteng if you can.

If your car is not under MP, go to Tunetech for the park brake issue - they should be able to help. For the sunroof, there's a few independent sunroof repair places - the dealerships are useless for that sort off stuff, unless it's under MP and they replace the entire thing with a new one. Scan the forum - there was a guy a few months back with sunroof issues and was quoted R70k at the dealer and got it done elsewhere for almost nothing ...

Decided to import my own diagnostics tool once and for all and it has finally arrived. Will collect tomorrow, try programming it thru the night and take it from there.

According to my sources in Europe, they reckon that if it programs it should work like a bomb, and the dealer says its just programming and not deleting the faults. So what better way to sort it out than to get your OWN BMW DIAGNOSTICS TOOL with the LATEST software that can kill any fault!

Thanks for the advice tho MSM, wish me luck in programming instead of burning it!
