Nice read. I was in the same boat recently. While I love the E90 320d LCI I opted for a small hatch just to be safe. smile bounce

Decent read. Many people are left in the same boat deciding what to do in this regard.

Side note: the pic reminded me of my 323i. Same color, wheel, spec etc smile bounce

I was literally in the same boat a year ago...needless to say the 320d was an easy choice for me Fencelook based on the safety rating comparisons between the various options I was looking at.

Nice short read,

Unfortunately most on this forum are like the authors brother,
Prefer older vehicles with a decent history that can go for many years to come
Vs. a basic plastic container with unappealing looks that would irritate you after a year of ownership.

Current:
2014 320i F30 - M-Sport (Mrs)
2012 3.0d F25 - M-Sport (Family Wagon)
2005 325ci E46 - M-Sport (Mr)
2003 330ci E46 - Weekend (Mr)

Previous BMWs:
2012 328i F30 - Powerful racy motor
2012 320i E90 - Solid built, disappointing performance
2010 3.0d E70 - Versatile car, strong diesel motor
2004 320i E46 - Built like a tank, superb motor
2003 320i E46 - Money pit, lemon of note
