RE: Tyre Reviews & Comparisons
Michellin PS4s are super expensive, so I would expect nothing less than the best results.

Why no Bridgestones on this list?

RE: Tyre Reviews & Comparisons
The problem with a PS4 is that it is super soft and you don't get great mileage out of it. But that said, they are exceptional on all other aspects!

I was surprised the see the Toyo's struggle so much from this review though.

I’ve done 20,000km on my 330i, and neither front nor rears need replacement yet.

The PS4S is supposed to be better than the super sport. The Supersports lasted me a long time on the M5 (rears obviously not as good as the fronts) but very good... Any M5/6 owner who has had both will tell you performance wise and longevity wise it makes the P Zero alternatives seem like a budget tyre. This is even given the fact that rotation is not possible and the car is lowered plus, from the factory, runs more camber than most cars as well... let's not forget the 400kw going to the back wheels most of the time with MDM on...

If you think it is expensive, doesn't last long or is poor value then I dont think you have owned a set. Tyre technology these days is borderline witchcraft.

I went with the Cup 2 because i was willing to compromise on longevity for performance. THAT is the tyre that fits the description of lower life, lower performance in wet and less value as a tradeoff for ultimate performance. However I remember another review under UK conditions showing the PS4S isnt that far off the performance of the Cup 2 making it an even better proposition

Before you think I'm a Michelin fanboy I have only converted since owning the M5 and experiencing the "neverending Supersports" first hand LOL

+1. I have PSS since they don't make PS4S in 18 inch.
Nothing comes close in terms of performance/longevity/price.
Cup 2 makes sacrifices for the extra bit of performance but PS4S is the ultimate all rounder.

Just remember with tyre pricing, you can go to TWT and easily pay double the price of a reasonably priced tyre shop. So do your homework first. After taking into account how long PS4S last, it probably works out cheaper than some of those other 'premium' brands.

RE: Tyre Reviews & Comparisons
Im currently running the falken fk 510 on the 335i and they are brilliant tyres. They are very well balanced all weather tyres but undoubtedly the best wet handling tyres I have owned. I drove through a water patch on the hiway with no hands on the wheel and they cut trough like butter, zero aquaplaning. Praise

Well I was quite surprised when they told me that a 275/40R18 rft tyre (Conti) was +-R4100. Cheapest quote I've seen so far.

Will either go with that or Toyo (non rft though)

100% Agree with you, I currently have Michelins on both my M5's and wouldn't put any other tyre on quite frankly, I merely stated that they don't last as long as a Conti for example and I know the Toyo is not meant to be as good as a Michelin but I was just surprised to see they got such a harsch review. I apologise if I came across as hating Michelins, certainly wasn't knocking them.
