500ppm on e70/F15 3.0d?
Looking at the spec sheet, I see that only the 25d, 40d and M50d have a DPF, and the 30d appears to not have the DPF.

Im I right? If yes, this would mean the 30d in thw X5 is EURO3 emission class and can use 500ppm diesel once in a while since it has no DPF?

And you would want to run dirtier diesel in the car because.....

Car would be in use in areas where 50ppm is kinda scarce, for some extended periods.

So, is the 3.0d in the E70/F15 EURO3? Does it have a DPF?

thx

RE: 500ppm on e70/F15 3.0d?
As far as i know, the old E53 first gen diesels up to 2003 one could use 500ppm diesel all the time but with the later 2003 - 2007 E53 the advice was to use 50ppm but in case of emergency, one could use 500ppm "now and then in emergency"! The E70 has much the same motor but i would think that the same applies. I personally would put in just enough 500ppm to get me to a 50ppm filling station, but that is just me. Fortunately, most garages nowadays have 50ppm available and it seems as if 500ppm is being phased out.
