Article on the C36 AMG
Well written piece by the always insightful Lance Branquinho (one of the better local car journos out there) on the 1993 C36 AMG.

If you grew up in the early 90s, this and the M3 E36 should be fondly remembered.

Though, the C36 came in very limited numbers to SA.

RE: Article on the C36 AMG
It was on the cover of the Feb 1994 Car Mag featuring the e36 M3 :-)

Love them W202's esp the Sport's, but in AMG trim they are just Inlove

There are some W202 C43's around locally as well...

RE: Article on the C36 AMG
saw a W124 3.6 CE AMG at Panorama Hospital...probably stood there for 30 mins staring. Think there was a C36 for sale on gumtree this year.

Aaliyah also drove a silver C36 in Romeo must die

current: BMW E92 M3 (bearings could be fcukd)

RE: Article on the C36 AMG
Owned a W124 with the same motor. Lovely thing it was, but the running costs on those motors is something to behold.

But the article is quite wrong.

The 3.6L was a stroker 2.8l motor not a 3.2 as claimed.

Basically the AMG offered you the 6 Cyl motor in a few spices.

You had the E34 AMG (very few around my god mother had one) a 3.0 M104, the a 320 AMG M103 block, and then the last the 2.8l M104 broked and then stroked with a crank from a benz diesel.
