19" wheels and ET's on M235i?
Hi guys

Considering getting 19" wheels for my car but not sure what the widest ET's I can run on the front and rear of a M235i? If anyone can assist it would greatly be appreciated.

RE: 19" wheels and ET's on M235i?
Im sitting with the same issue, it is very hard to find the right wheel offset for the 2 series.

I have done some reading, considering you can go with 12mm spacers with the stock wheel, the standard wheel specs are:

Front 7,5JX18 ET:45
Rear 8JX18 ET:52

0.5J difference is an additional 6mm wider and, and each "1" less of the ET is 1mm outter.

therefore on the rear's you can go 8.5J ET45 which will take the wheel out by 13mm, which should be fine for fitment.

I haven't tested the above as yet on the car.

This is true man, Also the rim type I like is a rim with a concaved look to it and seems this is not a optionThumbdown

Really wanted a BBS CI-R type of wheel in a 19"

RE: 19" wheels and ET's on M235i?
I had the following fitted on my M235i.

Size: front 8,5J x 19 ET38 and rear 9,5J x 19 ET48
Style: M double-spoke 622
BMW Part Number: 3611 7849661 and 3611 7849662

Fitment was perfect - Flush and No Tyre poke, no need for spacers either.

Here's a link to my ad for them:

This site seems very conservative
it lists
530d 228hp 245/35ZR19 / 275/30ZR19 8Jx19 ET20 / 9.5Jx19 ET32

and I'm running

245/35ZR19 / 265/35ZR19 8.5Jx19 ET12 / 9.5Jx19 ET17 and theres still about 10mm room on the rear, possibly 5mm maybe 7mm on the front that could space out.

I have seen M235i's running wit a 8.5J with ET35in the front and 9.5J with ET45 in rear without any rubbing. Still not easy to get rims that I like with these offsets Thumbdown

Yup, shouldn't be any tyre rub - even had an HnR drop (20mm) and with two rear passengers there was no rubbing.

It is difficult to get wheels that fit. It seems only M performance and some X series wheels have the right offset (if you want to go OEM). Some aftermarket stores (e.g. ADV1, VMR, OZ) have fitment options if you buy directly.

The best wheel I've seen on the 1/2 series has to be a 19" CSL wheel - its on a red M235i that I sometimes see at the Bellairs Mall

Also like that style wheel, looking at the VMR V710 Fencelook
