Hi all.
A new feature recently installed on the forum allows you to tag someone in a post, and this will automatically alert the person/account you're tagging to the thread in which you've tagged them.
This is useful for getting someone's attention to a thread where you think they might be able to give advice or if you simply think they're interested in the topic being discussed. This decreases the chance of them missing the discussion.
The tag feature automatically sends a PM from your account to the person you're tagging to alert them that they have been mentioned in a thread, and provides the link to the thread in the PM.
To use the usertag feature, simply type @[username] where [username] needs to be the full username of the person you wish to tag, and should probably be entered as the name appears, with uppercase/lowercase letters etc.
The person being tagged will receive a PM.
The tagged person can then simply click on the link in the PM to see the thread.
There are reports of this function not working if a username contains spaces or certain special characters. I have not fully tested it here. You can let me know if you come across issues.
