Spoiler Fitment
Hey All.

Looking to have a performance spoiler fitted. I have the spoiler already. Need it fitted neatly and I am scared I will stuff it up.

RE: Spoiler Fitment
Just don't use the 3M tape.. My experience with that has not been ideal.. Mine is epoxied onto the boot, same as my splitters.

Spoiler Fitment
You get the proper two-way tape that the dealers use.

Apply the tape onto the spolier, leave it in the sun for 15-20 mins (with the sun hitting the tape).

Apply silicone to the spolier, again leave it in the sun for 15mins.

Wipe the surface area on the boot lid with rubbing alcohol, once dried, remove the plastic from the tape and place the spolier on the car applying gentle force from one end to the other.

Use masking tape to tape the spolier down and leave the car parked in the sun for 3 hours.

Leave the masking tape on over-night. Avoid washing the car for 24hours and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the assistance guys. Went this route twice. Both times I failed. Looking to have it installed by a pro.

Dent Doctor will be able to sort you out. I think there's a branch in Edenvale as well.

RE: Spoiler Fitment
i used a combo of some hectic sticky double sided tape and the black silicone that PG glass uses.

Did the cleaning and baking as S1NGH 911 coved.

I might have to throw the boot way to get rid of the spoiler now Rofl
