Motogp Catalunya Spain
So with a fantastic Motogp in Mugello done and dusted (see thread link)

https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=81149

, we headed to Venice for a few magical days and then flew to Barcelona, Spain for the Catalunya Motogp.

Logistics to the Catalunya Motogp in contrast to Mugello was very efficient. We took a train from Barcelona to within 3km of the race track. A 10 min walk brings you to the park and ride buses which drop you off in front of the track. What a pleasure.

Our bags were searched thoroughly for alcohol, weapons etc. The Spanish are quite strict and we even saw fans’ coke cans being disposed off. Quite a surprise as we were not searched at all in Italy

We booked to sit in the Rossi Fan club stands for this race and watched both the qualifying on the Saturday and the main race on the Sunday.

The Catalunya crowd was a lot more sober and reserved than the crowd in Mugello lol. The atmosphere was completely different but still spectacular.

Once again the Ducati’s reigned with Dovizioso taking his second consecutive win

Here are some pictures from the Catalunya Motogp 2017:

To any Motogp/Motorsport fans I highly recommend watching a race live. It’s truly a remarkable experience[img]
