You make a habit of taking on hard stuff to make it look easy.

Good luck bud, can I come pick up the 320d or the ///M now? Rollsmile

AND since the windscreen needs to be changed anyway, its way easier to remove the dash with the windscreen out.

You will also find that there are marks inside the dash that shows you precisely where to cut....

I will be on the other side if anybody needs me Bluebiggrin

RE: Ratslaaf's F10 535 (re)build
Aaaaaaaargh. I just don't want to spend another R8k on a windscreen now, over and above the normal windscreen, with all the other unplanned expenses. I can just as well leave the hud project for next year if I feel the desire for tackling something silly.

I'd rather spend that same money on this:

Oh, and this:

Can organize you a pirate but SABS approved for like R3,500,

That's where she was going the morning I crashed her, just needed to change a windscreen, and she would have been sold..

That said, seeing her come back to life like this makes me happy...

AND 6WB FFS !!!!

I got a good deal on a replacement OEM windscreen. But for HUD, that becomes a R12k windscreen.

HUD looks out of focus on plain windscreen. I think that would be more of a distraction than not having it. There's some pics floating about

I recently drove an armored G11 750i with HUD, and its really annoying, because the display doubles up as it gets projected on the 2 furthest ends of the thicker glass.

To add to your dilemma you will also need a new pair of sunglasses if your current ones are polarized, as they block out/filter the hud...HammerheadRofl
