The fender rolling tool rolls the inner edge of the stock fender to give you clearance for wider tyres or running lower offset wheels. These are fender flares. ![]() (10-01-2017 03:31 PM)Andrew M325iS Wrote: Where are you located. RE: Fender rolling tool
Apologies if this seems like I'm hijacking your thread. I've got a set of 20's. No spacers required and wheels fit perfectly on lci e90. Rear tyres are 275/30/20. They rub a bit only on the fender lining / mudguard and not the fender itself. How would one fix this problem other than running a 25 profile?

Your problem is that the tyre is oversized, that size tyre is what I would run on my E60, you could remove the fender lining ( does the rear have a plastic lining?) RE: Fender rolling tool
My stock rims on my 335 were narrow and wides. 225/35/19 front and 255/30/19 rear. The 35 and 30 are aspect ratio/% of the width of the tyre (eg 225 x 35% = 78.75cm and 255 X30% = 76.5cm). So if you have real wide tyres in the rear, the tyre profile (sidewall) will be bigger. EG 225/35/19 the sidewall would be smaller than 275/35/19 and therefore the total diameter (outside diameter, not rim diatmeter) of the tyre too.
Also would bigger tyres/rims mean less torque eg 20" over 18"? Or would it be so small its irrelevant? Current - E92 2008 M3

Noob Question: Can the e46 M3 Rear fenders be rolled or must they be shaved ? I noticed that the E46 M3 rear fenders inner lip is quite thick.

My initial guestimate would be to use 225/30/20 (8j - 8.5j) and 245/30/20 (9j-9.5j) on ther rear which is 3% bigger than stock, but still 2.7% smaller than what you have. Did you notice that using the 275/30 tyre raised your car by about 19mm at the rear No, no, he didn’t slam you, he didn’t bump you, he didn’t nudge you… he *rubbed* you.
