My 135i 'Midnight' slow modding thread

Hi Guys, I thought I'd start a thread to keep a nice record on the journey I hope to have with this awesome beast of a machine.

Lets start with the history. I owned a 2001 Audi A3 1.8t for the better part of 4 years. I thoroughly enjoyed the car and modding it. Over the course of 4 years I modded it extensively from stock, to a forged internal Big turbo little rocket (All DIY). I ended up sadly selling it to get something more comfortable and to start a mod journey again. This is how it eventually looked:

Fortunately I had the opportunity to buy my 135i from a friend.

Meet "Midnight":

2009 BMW 135i Coupe
n54
6 speed Auto
Sunroof
Xenons
with 101000 km on the clock

I haven't done much in terms of modding, only the golf tee mod and the BOV mod on the stock DV's.

I have also DIY'd my brakelights with some lamin-x to resemble the black line brake lights.

Thanks guys!

Thanks bud.:ty: I really enjoyed that car. This one will be slow progress as the funds come in...

I love the look of the newer brakelights but before forking out a large sum of money to get a set I thought I'd give it a try and DIY my lights to look similar.

Heres how I did it:

End result lights off:

With the lights on you can't really see it but it still looks great in my opinion:

I spent last weekend giving my car a decent wash and took the opportunity to take some proper pictures, although still with my cell phone:biglol:

Man there is just something about a black car, when its clean, just a pita to keep it clean. Car looks great. :clapper:

Thanks bud. I haven't seen a lot of black 135i coupe's and I must say I love it when its clean... Just such a mission to try and keep it that way.

Looks Faptastic. Congrats PD.

Thanks Shaun. This car is awesome!! Where would you recommend getting plugs and coilpacks from? Mine seems to have developed a miss on full throttle.

Thanks bud. Everyone has their own taste. I like it! But it can easily be removed if I no longer do...

Subb'd..Looking good so far :clapper:

Thanks dude!

One of the rims had some slight curb rash that bothered me so I thought I'd refurb them all a bit. I like the silver on a black car but I thought I'd try something else to see if I like it. (I got other future plans that I hope will work well with this combo).

I didn't want to go completely black as I'm not such a fan because you loose a lot of detail of the wheel in my opinion. So I went with this:

I will get a proper picture in the sun where it doesn't look so dark.

Stay tuned for brake updates:cartel:
