E46 3.2 M3 Wide Body Project
And so my next project starts:

I picked up a E46 4 door M3 wide body that I will be re building. I will try and keep you updated on the progress as much as possible.

Motor has been fully worked and is in great condition. It has all the proper goodies including a Motech management.

Here is the first picture after I collected it on Friday:

Here it is about 8 months ago at Zwartkops

Plan is as follows:

- Replace pressure plate. It has an AP 200mm twin plate clutch setup currently. The pressure plate needs to be replaced.
- It also has a proper racing pedal box which i dont really like as it brings the pedals too far back and because of my length i cant fit into it comfortably. So either I will see if I can move them or I may look at other options.
- Lots of body work needs to be done as well as lots of holes in the floor pan that need to be filled in. I will also be changing the colour to either a better blue or to white.
- I am also considering finding a M3 shell and transferring everything over to it.

- Once everything has been completed I hope to race in Extreme Super Cars with it.

This is the look I am hoping to achieve with a better wing:

First off I need a front left indicator. Anyone have one lying around? Bluebiggrin

RE: E46 3.2 M3 Wide Body Project
I have just converted it to turbo and plan to continue to race it. I have thought about selling it also but not sure if I can bring myself to sell. If I get the right offer i will probably let it go. (without the STC Wing though)

Basically the vanos adjusts cam timing according to revs. If you are generally only driving at high revs there is no need for it to adjust the cam timing to suit lower revs.
