Hi KZN Fanatics,

The KZN Events team is proud to announce the next event. Through the year, we satisfy ourselves by attending events that we love, its time to do something for those that dont have the privileges as we do.

About the Charity Drive
There is an settlement in Chatsworth (Bottlebrush) where little ones are living in appalling conditions. The organization, IAHV, has endeavored to help the kids by hosting education workshops, providing them with fun and games days etc. These children literally have nothing but the clothes on their back.

Whats required?
IAHV has contacted us to get involved in helping clothe the list of 42 children that they have accounted for in the informal settlement.
The kids are aged between 6 months to 18 years, majority being under 12.

Red Tape
IAHV is a registered NPO and will provide S18A certificates (eligible for tax deductions) for donations in excess of R1000.

Our Plan
Our plan is to put together a hamper of sorts for the kids that we have chosen to sponsor for that day. The hamper would include something like a school bag that contains basic stationery, an outfit and shoes and maybe a toy. We estimate this hamper to be in the region of R350 - R400.

However it would be more beneficial if those in the KZN region actually physically go and get the hamper items themselves for the child(ren) they have pledged to sponsor and deliver it to the child on the day.
We would do the buying for the out of town donors.

The Agenda
The plan for the day (16 December 2015) is to collect the kids from the setlement and take them to a nearby park (Ridley Park in Malvern) where a Christmas party is being organised for them by IAHV. Funds are also needed for this party.
Therefore if we receive any excess funds once all 42 children have been accounted for, this will be put towards the party and meals for the kids.

Details
Date: 16 December 2015

POA
Proceed from the stadium with our hampers to bottlebrush settlement, collect the kids and drive them to Ridley Park (8km) where the party will be held for them until 2PM. We will then transport them back to their homes in the settlement.

So, who's in? And how many kids are you pledging to sponsor?

Pledge/Sponsor Details
1. Send Yulz9081@TheFanatics or Peejay@TheFanatics a PM or email stating how many kids you would like to pledge or how much you would like to donate toward this event.

2. IAHV will purchase the hampers. We waiting on confirmation as to what's in a hamper. This is being done because the know the kids and work with them.

3. Each hamper is capped at r400 per kid.

4. IAHV will provide us a spread sheet as well as receipts as to how our money is being spend.

5. Out of town donors can send us a PM and do a deposit, we will then allocate one of the KZN team to buy the hamper on your behalf once you have transferred funds into the IAHV account.

Gents are being PM'd with their child allocations once they state how many kids they are sponsoring. On the spreadsheet is the child's name, age and shoe size. Clothes sizes can be gauged from the age as they are all tiny and scrawny.
