RE: MMMPOWR Turbo #97E36M3
Another quick update.
I found the cause of the knock was the muffler hitting the rear strut.
Aligned the muffler & took it for a spirited drive & all is good.

Since swapping the clutch I havn't truly thrown the car about but I really wana find a quiet spot to get a feel for the car.
Hopefully, If time permits, I can get the car on an autocross track before the end of the season

Apart from that, not much progress has been made on my build due to other commitments thats been sucking up all of my time.
Hopefully all that stuff gets wrapped up this weekend & i can start focussing resources (time & money) on the bimmer again

RE: MMMPOWR Turbo #97E36M3
Another Minor Update.
Over the past weekend, there was a motorshow held locally. I spent numerous hours over the past week preparing for this event.
Sadly the weather wasn't that great, but we made the best of it. Luckily I had access to an enclosed trailer so I didn't have to drive the car on the wet roads to make my way to the event.
I was pretty satisfied with what i brought to the show....Even though the car never achieved any awards.

RE: MMMPOWR Turbo #97E36M3
Woah this is crazy.
I swear i posted an update on here last friday & i found it strange there was no activity so I come back to check & low & behold, its gone.
No clue how thoThumbdown

Anywhooo....
Its been 2 months since my last update so I'm going to try bring you guys up to speed as accurately as i can.
July & Aug were busy months for me but not so much in the car space.
More so in the family space.
July was the Euro motorshow & this year in particular was a special event.
The show was celebrating its 25th anniversary, M3 its 30th & BMW its 100th.
I was unable to attend but not having my car present was not an option so I got a buddy of mine to take my car out & display it. Apparently the car attracted alot of attention & compliments not to forget photo's.

A proud moment was when a guy showed up at my place to buy the original exhaust & when we got talking, he asked if the black E36 at the euro show was mine. I smiled & nodded & he went on to compliment me on everything from the paint to the wheels etc etc.
As i always say, proud moment only car enthusiasts can understand.

Apart from this, a mate of mine swung by to do some minor work on his car. He had a new IC kicking around which he'd purchased for this R33. He dropped it off & said i could use it if i could make it work.
I'll look into it & if its wrong, I'll sell & purchase the one i wanted originally.

Oh, I also received an electronic boost controller as a wedding gift. Oh Snap, I didnt mention i got married as well-Hahaha
I dont have a pic of that....not the boost controller or the weddingRofl
I'll see if it works out as expected. If not, I'll upgrade to a different unit.
Talking about the boost controllerCartel

Other than acquiring parts, We attempted to start assembly on the motor but there's a discrepancy on the rod small end size vs the wrist pin. I'm in the process of getting that sorted by ordering bushings from eagle.
The rod isnt the defect though. Its just easier to fix the rod than it is to change the wrist pin on the piston.
You guys should seriously follow me on IG cos i keep that updated way more timeously than this forum-lol. Lookup MyzM3 on IG.

Other than that, I've succeeded in breaking the transmission on my civic track car so yeah.....my hands are full with that as well.
