Firoze_D brought his 335i to the Doctor
Wow, this is one of the cleanest examples of a E90 335i I have seen. Car is in impeccable condition. I couldn't say the same about the carbon build up. At 74000km the carbon on the valves was par for course and was what was expected.

I will leave how the car responded to the owner Bravo

One of the only pitfalls of direct injection, carbon build-up.

RE: Firoze_D brought his 335i to the Doctor
Howsit Guys?

It's been a very busy weekend, so didn't have any time to write a thread about the Carbon Clean but George beat me to it Rollsmile

I've been pestering George about this carbon clean since January, since before even buying my car, and his been very obligingly, answering all my questions Bravo

German_spec, as well as Kish's reviews with the regard to carbon doctor was also a MASSIVE contributing factor towards me getting this done. A few friends who have also done the carbon clean, prompted to get it done as soon as possible, and thus the arrangements were made.

During the course of last week, George and spoke briefly about how am I going to get the car to him because of my tight work schedule and the distance I am away from his workshop. Arrangements were made to be drop of on Friday evening and collect Sat afternoon, but its then occurred to me that Friday was public holiday. None the less George was VERY accommodating and agreed to me at his place on Friday morning, as this suited me best. Thus on Friday morning I drove down to Georges place to drop off the car, and at the same time kept my speed to an average of about +-110km/h as I wasted to gauge consumption. The other thing which was bugging me since I bought the car, is the throttle response as well as idling when starting.

Figures Driving down :

Upon Getting to Carbon Doctor, I was utterly surprised as to what friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable guy George is. However upon arriving, I almost forgot my reason for being there when I was greeted by that MONTROUS C63....Pictures DO NOT express what an BEAUT that car is. After DROOLING all over the Garage, I began asking about the 63 and then the Carbon Build up on the x35's. Just speaking to George about his C63, his plans, as then about my reason for the visit, I began seeing the passion the man has for engines and as well his work, and that made me feel at is. As he went through the reasons for the carbon build up, not only on the E90s, but the f30s as well the diesel range, I KNEW I was dealing with a person who took PRIDE in his work and knew exactly what he was doing. I handed over the keys, drooled over the c63 once more, and headed home, missing my baby the entire way.

Saturday morning, when George sent me the first pics of the intakes, I almost fell flat on the floor....it was UNBELIEAVABLE. I am a person whom I would to think, really looks after his cars, and seeing what MY car looked like on the inside made me feel sick... I won't say anything, let the pics do the talking...

Saturday Afternoon, once again...George was kind enough to arrange the car to be collected ONCE again at my convenience. Thanks for that Bud, can't tell you how much I appreciate it. After some talking, I was handed the keys and set off to drive home the same route as I travelled the previous day. I reset the onboard computer for odometer, and consumption readings and set off .Again, I wont type, but pics will show what was done and what was achieved on economy returning home on the same travelled the previous day. I tried to keep to keep a similar travelling speed and driving style. Keep in mind, the drive back home is uphill.

Right Economy Runs done Rollsmile

How is the throttle response you ask? It's now what I expected my 335 to feel like when I floored it, I always felt disappointed when driving it, right it doesn't kick down as fast you'd expect, but now it feels perfect. The car is more responsive, and is idling better already, sounds a tad bit healthier as well. George, I am an extremely satisfies customer, and would strongly suggest that anyone who owns an x35 or turbo'd car to get this done. Thanks again to George and the team, and big ups to the guys who took the time to write reviews and point me in the right direction.
Keep is up Carbon Doctor !TyTyTy

RE: Firoze_D brought his 335i to the Doctor
Firoze thank you for the kind words.

Testing the fuel consumption the way you did his the hardest to yield a result. The static requirements of torque remain the same. Happy it yielded a result like it did. Accelerating and stopping will show better results. What surprised me us that you managed to keep constant speed and not put the pedal to the metal immediately Thumbs[/align]

Wow! Shocking what's happening inside the motor...! Is this an N54/55 affliction or do the N52s also suffer, not sure if they are direct injected...?

Nice job Thumbs

I've known George since the DTM days and he is one of a handful of guys that takes serious pride in his work and is a wealth of knowledge too. Keep up the good work Mr Smooth.Thumbs

PS, does your old man still have that E24 you brought to Tess' birthday at the wrestling gym some years back?
