Well done to Xcede, Sherwin in particular. He piloted the Manual N54 135i to a wopping 246km/h on the 1km (12.7s on the 400m). Big ups!!!

Also well done to Tomm88, he ran a 236km/h in his auto 135i (also n54 IIRC) @ 12.9s 400m.

Xcede Performance FTW!!!

Thanks guys, I believe that's the fastest manual N54 in South Africa. Please, once again, I'm open to being corrected if I'm wrong.

Tom did exceedingly well to run 236 with just chip, intake & DP!

Words fail to express what you guys have achieved.

Sherwin , you said it time and time again that a Manual will be the one to break records and the proof is in the pudding and what is more shocking is that you achieved this with street tyres..Im speechless.

Tom my sexy boy you did extremely well with your driving skills and car. I for one know this car was just completed a few days ago and with basic mods (DPs and SW) you have shown what a 135 is capable of.

Lots of respect to you both.

:praise:

Look at the loss of acceleration during the shifts! Manual for the lose, but hey manual has the record! Long gearing in the manual really helps in the km.

Cough cough. I am happy more people are achieving decent speeds on stock turbos. Opens the eyes for the non believers. These results make the big mouths feel like fools now.
Well done.:bravo:

Hi guys, finally got time to relax & post, hectic day. Was great driving manual again today, they say real men drive manual. I have to say it is immensely gratifying to launch on your own & row the gears like a porn star.

Also fantastic to get decent launches with stock tyres, goddam runflats I think are on the back of the 135. Manual car with runflats, wow talk about having your work cut out.

Had some challenges early on with the meth on the 135. Had to make some changes but it worked out OK.

Georgie, I agree 100% with you. Here in SA we are leading with the G5/G6 Gti's Golf R's & stuff, but we way behind the yanks with the N54. They running deep in the 11's with stock turbo's yet even at MAtuba, the N54's aren't running close to those times & speeds. Yet the C63's & VAG's are ahead of the Yanks at Matuba.

But in the last few months we have unlocked the potential of the N54! Just fit a JB & you will run 246! Kidding  There are a few setup changes that can make a big difference & manual has always been better geared for the 1km. I think even 1/4 mile with an LSD & decent rubber, a manual can run a time.

Scary part is Rowen's 1M is faster than this 135. So that wouldn't need an LSD, just decent rubber & we in the game for good times & over 250 on the km.

The tuning game is very competitive & competition is what brings the times down. The world records the Durban boys have in SA with the VAG cars is due to the fierce competition. So I say thank you to the opposition for egging us into action. And we gonna go faster. That's my commitment to you.

Was nice to test same day, same track, same conditions will similar setups & was great to come out tops in the official results. Till next time, see you guys at the track.
