After market MAF sensors!!!

Has anyone heard of ACE AUTO SCRAPYARD in Springs? They are selling SEBRING MAF sensors from R995 depending on model!

I bought a 330i one, haven't tried it yet but Im sure its better than paying 6x more for the OEM one.

i dont know considering what this does im not sure i would trust a cheap option... although 6k is too much for this component i feel...

my advice would be to simply import a genuine bosch maf from these guys :

bosch is oem, i imported a 330d bosch maf (same as oem) for about R1600-00 a year ago from these guys..

problem with the pirate makes is that they often have an improper response curve ect..

Stig46t had a problem with his E39 M5, both MAF's were unplugged. So on Saturday we took the car to my mech friend Jacques, and they said both are FUBAR. :bangdesk:

So after them making ALLOT of calls, they managed to get 1 new one for R3,600, and one second hand one for R2,500.

We went on what Beast Power told Stig46t, about the Golf 4's working, and called my friend Marnevic at Goldwagen in Souter street Pretoria. He had both MAF's for R1,700. All Stephen had to do was take the sensor out the casing, and screw it into the M5 casing, and even the plug was EXACTLY the same. :rollsmile:

oh sure.. stealers could get it for me at 5.8k.. bosch agents local could get it for me at 3.6k and 4-6 weeks for delivery..

i wish i could know which is identical to the E36 3.2 one and run down to goldwagen. was the one you bought also bosch or another brand?

Bosch Part no for E36 3.2 Maf is 0280217806, Will try to get you a price tomorrow.

Have heard of ACE Auto Before and not all good things, Bosch Part No 0928400529 For E46 320d

anyone know who does siemens automotive stuff my car does not have bosch and im lead to believe siemens is better anyway... seeing as all my sensors are still fine after 13 years i think they just might be true :rollsmile: only problem is if something does fail i think i may have a problem finding the part :(

I bought an aftermarket MAF for R700. R300 for reprogramming error. Thus R1000. It lasted 8 months. Needless to say im not a big fan of aftermarket MAF's.

what did you do after? you should also have a siemens maf...
