Carbon finally getting repaired

I’ve decided to do a new thread about Carbon. This thread is gonna be about the progress of the repair.

Its been a long 11 months since the accident. We unfortunately lost the case with the insurance. I’m finally getting Carbon repaired, they starting on Monday.

The repair is gonna cost me about R70k (incl the parts below)

Most of the parts have arrived, the following are all brand new, not used (cost me R22k):
Bonnet
Fenders (front and rear)
Taillight
Windscreen
Rear window
2 of 3 reinforcement brackets for rear fender (waiting for 1 from Germany)
Radiator cradle
Mirror

They can repair the tailgate and rear bumper.

I’m still looking for:
Door (used)
Headlight (used, just need the housing, the brackets snapped off. The bulbs and wiring is all fine.)
Bumper (used or aftermarket) (found a 135i bumper which I’m seeing later today)

I’m doing a colour change as well. They need to respray most of the car anyway. I’m deciding on the following:
Valencia orange (1st choice)
Monte Carlo blue (like on the Ltd Ed M3, X5M)
Mineral white

This was 2 weeks ago when they collected the car at my place

The only internal damage, no airbags popped:

Thx guys. It will be repaired back to what she was but with different colour and bumper.

Went just now to look at the door, bumper and headlight, all 2nd hand. The door had 1 dent in the bottom corner which was minor, the bumper was from a 135i, and the headlight was in good condition. Paid 6k for them. Forgot to take pics.

To do the 1M bumper, there's a lot of changes that need to be done, like the 2 fenders, wheel arch inner covers etc. The 1M bumper is R5150 on its own. I was thinking of doing it.

S///Mon: go read the story on these 2 threads:

I was also looking at this bumper with foglights and side skirts. Would cost R20k incl shipment and customs:

Here’s pics of a coupe bumper on a hatch body.

Is the 135i bumper a straight fit-up, always thought the top section next to the kidneys were different

You have to take lots of pictures during the rebuild. Will make an awesome thread! Subscribed!
I think it'll look great in orange! Any sample pics in the orange?
