No problem!

It's not all the catalog, just the stuff I queried :)

You said you paid about R30k for your Style 269 Perf rims? Are they 19" ? Can't be right still?

yes..19'
For about R31 000...

AND it excludes the rim hubs...:dropjaw: can you believe this?....

what does a short shift kit do?

The link in the original post is hyperlinked to the product page.

This 6-speed short shift kit offer a shorter, more direct shift feel for improved control and a more visceral experience. Ergonomically designed in black Alcantara and aluminum, the kit's modified shift linkage set-up reduces shift travel by 25 percent for a faster, smoother gear response. Includes shift knob and boot.

holy sweet jesus, 3499% markup perhaps??
lol... that is a bit hectic

i know CF aint cheap... but does the word "performance" really add 1k to the initial markup from bmw hq, or is it 2k?

btw, thanks for the post @ri

No prob man :) it's hard to find thes prices online and many people including myself always wonder what the price of these perf parts are.

Let's see what Daniel can do for us :)

What proucts markup were you referring to in particular davinci? Or all if them? :)

the fact is, even with discounted prices, the oem performance parts are still gonna be expensive and over priced

its 5k for the word performance, dude
:slap:

haha
:hammerhead: ofcourse..

over priced would be a small understatement

revo, i dont know if u can assist... how would they price differ if imported from lets say... tischer or mod bargins etc etc.

i understand shipping and and customs is a fcuk up, but if ordering in bulk surely you could save a lump of cash for race fuel and beer right?

Yeah the only thing I would consider with my budget is the short shifter kit.. The perf rear spoiler is just too damn much for what it is.. Saw one the other day and could not justify spending so much on just the spoiler..

The short shift kit on the other hand seems decently priced. Am thinking of just getting the shorter arm/selector rod thing and not the boot and performance knob.. I like my current ///M knob.. More than the perf ones I see in the pics.. And also the alacantre would look a bit out of place with the rest of my leather interior I think..

^ i agree... have you considered doing a cdv delete too, cost effective and i have read mostly good things in terms of feedback, predictabilty and consistency in clutch pedal feel/bite

I have read about it on 1addicts but I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to that kinda stuff.. Not gonna lie :)

but I would be interested on doing it! Always enjoy learning.

Would you recommend removing the current CDV or getting a modded CDV from a performance company (think hamman or some other performance company were selling them) and then installing that one?

Thing is I'm not too sure how to do it myself. Things like bleeding the clutch etc, and I don't really know anyone that knows what they are doing that could help me.

Have you done a CDV on yours?

Thanks for giving me the idea again :) wanted to do this a whole ago but forgot :p

Here is the CDV Mod DIY from 1Addicts - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209440

OK so I've just been doing some more reading on the CDV. What people are doing as to not draw attention to the removal of the CDV is to modify the existing CDV wit a 3mm allen key and a hammer. This removes the valve assembly which restricts the flow of fluid

Then this modified part is re-installed and the dealers will never have reason to check it as it looks normal :)

I am definitely going to do this...and soon :)

Yeah but for $20 excluding shipping etc. the BMS CDV seems rather pointless where I can just modify my existing CDV. Also this way by modifying the stock CDV, BMW cannot notice I modified the CDV unless they take it off and look inside..

With the modified one such as BMS, they could tell instantly..

Apparently new CDV's are about $8 from BMW, so what I will probably do is modify my existing one, and buy a new stock one as spare.

:) just need to find some ramps to get the car up onto... wondering who would be willing to let me use their ramps :thinker:

For E90? Modified or stock CDV's? How much would you want for them? Modifying me existing CDV seems easy enough so i'm gonna prob do that
