Hi Guys, need some advise on a reputable workshop to take my car to in KZN for suspension work / maintenance. Got some strange knocks and noises developing and I have noticed tyre wear not great on the front even after alignment done every 7500km.

Inner tyre wear seems to be an E9x thing (if that's what you're experiencing).

There are various places that you could go to to check it out. I've had good experiences with a place called Stable Ride (E90)

When I did my shocks, I purchased them from Goldwagen (Bilstein) and got them fitted at Royal Vulcanizing on Umgeni Road (E92).

Great, are you happy with Bilstein?

Yes, had them on the sedan and now on the coupe. B4 is the 'OEM' replacement and you probably wouldn't notice a difference. They're cheaper than whatever BMW supplies/fits as well.

If you want an upgrade then look at the B8 and above, perhaps, if you track your car. For daily use, Koni seems to be the preferred brand in this comparison though.

on the Knocking, my bet is on control arms and shock mounts, had them changed on mine and noises gone..
