Thanks for the opportunity and trusting is with the JOB.. much appreciated. So have got 98% of the damage out. So tiny little marks left at the top of the fenders. Not sure what I'd rather have a vehicle with original factory paint and two tiny dents you wouldn't noticed unless they were pointed out.
Or have body work done to satisfy my ocd.
My rear diffuser took a hit so getting a new rear diffuser fitted by @FiRi@Rennzport on Wednesday.

And the Ayob Motors number plate holder. They don’t deserve free ads on your car after swearing at you.Looks epic!! I vote to remove the winglets at the bottom
Agreed. Already done. And the Ayob Motors number plate holder. They don’t deserve free ads on your car after swearing at you.
Was there any possibility of canceling the deal? I feel like they don’t deserve the business as a matter of principle. I’m sitting here angry for you😅.Agreed. Already done.

Unfortunately not they had been paid in full. Was there any possibility of canceling the deal? I feel like they don’t deserve the business as a matter of principle. I’m sitting here angry for you.
The diffuser looks super aggressive for my liking but I’m sure it looks better in person and if you’re planning on lowering in future it may complete the look perfectly.
Enjoy the new wheels even though the start of ownership was a crap one!
Really debating an exhaust now. Just the thought of 150k+ on an m performance is a bit hectic.
Does a cat back exhausted affect your warranty?

Problem is I know myself. After having a decat on my m6 and knowing how these cars can sound. Going to eat at me until I eventually just do it. Planning on keeping it long term as not keen on the new hybrid model coming.Cat back will void your warranty if not M performance or Akrapovic. One of the biggest reasons I went for my car was that it already had the M Performance exhaust. I have experienced the pain of paying R100K for an exhaust before but it really depends on how much you value the noise... especially knowing that as soon as plan ends, a R15K set of downpipes is likely to fill that noise void quite easily.
That said: Exotic material, build quality is beyond fault and the sound profile can't be exactly replicated (so if that's what you're after then only Titanium will give it to you) - I don't think it is a complete 'rip off' where it's a R30K part that they are asking R150K for... but at the same time it is absolutely not 'worth' R150K. I remember with my F10 Akra system the actual exhaust was R78K or something like that (for a more complex system IMHO than the F90 system) but the tips were R30K for some dumb reason... you also had to order them together so no getting around it. Shaun (when he was still in SA) jumped through a ton of hoops and needed stars to align to get it to me for even those prices... but on balance having plan and the sound was worth it on balance considering what plan paid out over the period I had it (I am trying to justify/rationalise it here)
If times align with you being in SA, you can swing past and listen to my M Performance one.
If you decide to do an aftermarket exhaust. I urge you to please get in contact with @tmss
They just completed an F90 exhaust , and it sounds amazeballs.

I justified the 100k by the fact the new ones a hybrid and don't like the styling. So will have it atleast a couple years.M5 without it is almost as bad as the F8X without it
I am looking for an M5 with MPE as I'm not forking out hundred grand for an MPE and selling the car a few months later. Learnt this lesson again with the M4, bought Mperformance everything and got zero back for less than 1year of enjoyment.

Said to this wife this evening. Car was really quiet. Response I got was "no it wasnt"
Was honestly starting to miss the m6 a bit. M5 is just too mute standard. God knows what it sounds like without the opinion m sport exhaust mine already has.
Just make sure you get one with the B&W audio in it. Worth the wait in my opinion. Most just have the HK system.

BMW design team strikes again. Ironically this probably is the least bad looking of the recent M cars.I think it's definitely necessary. You can thank the EU for the quiet exhausts. Some of the M Performance stuff is even different for the EU (or not available). I mentioned before, probably the #1 thing keeping me from buying an F90 sooner was how quiet it was - Exhaust was a major selling point. I also wanted the B&W system since I wished I had the B&O in the F10.
The next gen looks like Bowser and I can't unsee it. Will probably have the ghastly dash treatment as well. Will of course drive it and see what it's like but not holding my breath. Besides this, I am more likely to stretch to a Bentley Flying Spur for what the new M5 may cost (well what I imagine this will cost - around 3.5M base plus R4/500K in options).
Were the registration issue resolved in the end?
