E32 730i vs 735i?

Is there a huge difference in onroad performance between the e32 730i (m30) and 735i?

My question really is, will the 730i feel underpowered and ultimately be even more thirstier than the 735i? Guess I would be cruising at 140 on the open road.

I really want a 735i, but can only find a very nice 730i near by. Looks like about 17kw and 65Nm less than 735i, which seems like alot.

If the 30i is clean and healthy I see now issues....you not tracking her (so don't see the crave for extra 17kws)...no BMW 3.0i will struggle to cruise at 140km/h

65nm is a bit...you live by the coast?

If the price is right, I think that the 735i will be worth every cent vs the 730. My Dad owned both the e23 735i & e32 735i.

The 35 if serviced & is in good nick should run as smooth as silk.

Many guys change the rear self-leveling shocks & go with after market boxes etc. due to deterioration/age. Stick to the stock bits (where affordable) which all add up to an unforgettable driving / passenger experience.
