Thank you to ZED1 I now finally have a set of throwing stars for my baby after months of searching.

A big thank you to those other guys who also wanted them but backed off so I could grab this set....I owe you guys. Another big thanks to Jandre for all the help in moving them around.

I need to make them look good on the car but to be honest silver stars on a white car look very average.......... The silver stars are stunning on a dark coloured car but not really white.

What do I go for it's just paint and the choices are many?

1) Stock silver stars all painted.
2) Stock silver stars with a polished lip.
3) Anthracite stars with a silver painted lip.
4) Anthracite stars with a polished lip.
6) Black stars with a silver painted lip.
7) Black stars with a polished lip.
8) Completely black stars.... Sounds gross, actually is not and might look good on white.
Congrats Rick Bluebiggrin

I would say gloss black with a polished lip. Black and white is a combo you can't go wrong with.....

2) Stock silver stars with a polished lip.
So far I'm leaning towards this

Or when I finally get the front bumper I can put the lower black strips back

You should've made a poll Rollsmile

I'd say either:
6) Black stars with a silver painted lip.

or:
7) Black stars with a polished lip.

Congrats on finally getting your baby a new pair of shoes Thumbsup2

________

I prefer the bottom to be all white. Makes everything looks neat and clean.

Reckon you need a new shiny pair of exhaust tips to match those shiny new shoes Thumbsup2

The exhaust tips are actually shiny now after I cleaned them, but I will be needing a new rear silencer anyway at some cost with cash I don't have right now

Nice! then never mind Bluebiggrin Hehehe one problem taken care of and always something else you need to spend money on.
Silver dishes, black stars. The polished-lip look is a tad gaudy.

I know, but the character of these cars is beastly, they need a bit of gaudy thrown in. (OMF was that me that just said that?.... but I think it's true)

Here is a teaser

My next project, let's just say I basically already have the Diamond black on black car when I want it and am hatching a little plan to own both a white and a black one.

The black one I want to look like this. Very hardcore looks, but WTF I'm having fun.

I would throw a spanner in the works ...

Anthracite grey...

I really like those BBS on your car though... tough choices =)
I would just stick to OEM silver and silver if you are going to go through the trouble of changing the colour, as to it looking plain I think it is the idea on the M5, they are supposed to look subtle, yet be able to destroy all cars on the road - if you had a time machine to go back to the early 90's Rollsmile
I see a lot of mags with polished lips only and when I asked a mag repair shop they said it was cheaper to fix pavement scratches and polish the lip than fix and spray !!!
So if I see polished lips......either a prostitute of pavement scratcher RoflRofl

@ Rick what about a wrap to see what looks good in real life ?

+1 Bluebiggrin
rick i think if you going to polish the lips you also need some 76mm polished exhaust tips to complete the look...
The wheels already have polished lips, so the easiest and cheapest for me right now is to just do the hyper black on the stars.

Spent the whole afternoon cleaning the rims with a toothbrush Rollsmile

Now we are ready for some paint if I can find the time during the week.
