Was he hit from the side or did he slide into something?
The first victim of this weeks rain... Hope he (or she) is OK!

Yep the guy is ok. He's in the pic checking out the damage. He must've lost control and hit one of the trees! Trees dont move not when they've been around for hundreds of years!! Shame we used to drive past each other and greet! He's only had his car for a little while.

Reminds me of that gumtree ad: The car is a handful!

Thought you where going to say

"BMW M3 for sale - slight ding on driver side fender"

:rofl: Yeah, that too! But I heard a woman (that also owns an M3) were found at the scene stripping parts... Know anyone?

BTW, I'm just messing with ya Fuzzy. This should be the perfect chance to get some items (or change out some items ) from the other owner...

I dont regret driving miss daisy when i see things like this happen.
The fact that the oke doesnt have the car for long, outlines the possibility of not having total control over the machine, added to the fact that with the rain people tend to get water on the brain and do stupid things. If it wasnt his fault i sympathize with the dude,
If it was his fault...well :bat: :slap: :hammerhead:

Freerider--> what products do you have in the store that can sort this one out...??
an aggressive cutting compound maybe ? :)

This guy is lucky the tree hit the axle, not the door, otherwise he would still be wrapped around the tree...

Or let me rephrase that: He lucky that the CAR hit the tree with it's front axle and not with the door...

Ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL!!! It did cross my mind! the parts that I need were damaged though!! Shjoh there's not much that can be salvaged!

All I know is that this should have been a moerse bang! Why didnt my mother hear this and tell me about it last night! No wonder when I went to the shop to buy a bread, one of the cops from the police station asked me if I was ok. I was very confused. Now I know that they assumed it was mine.

Shady you're right, this goes back to what you said yesterday, its just too foolish! People think driving fast cars is child's play. Definately like the oke on Gumtree said, the car is a handfull!

e36 M3, most crashed car within the first 6 months of ownership in 1996. From what I read it broke the record. Heavy foot + No traction control = smile for the NCAP photo

I'll take a swing at how it happened: (With the photographic evidence to my disposal...)

Look at the first pic. He came the came same way as the blue corolla. (Around the bend in the background). Now see it from the drivers perspective: You go around that bend and the tail comes out to the left because the road is wet (or because you were too fast...). You drift across the road, into the oncoming traffic lane, then counter steer, but too much, and the tail slides out to the right. You climb the pavement (where the police bakkie is standing). On the grass the car loses complete traction and slides sideways into the tree, before being flung around (by the force of the tree impact) to it's final position.

How'd I do?

This car was beautiful it was Naati's ex car whom he sold to the guy in the pic about a month or two ago. Very sad:bawling: I have the rally spec M3 Motorsport exhuast that came off this very car on my car atm. This car ran a 13.1 on killarney with the exhaust and some avgas. Respect

Sounds plausible....lay off the CSI dude :)
As soon as fuzz gets the low down we can compare...

After my bakkie landed on it's roof, it took me about a full week to figure out how it came to land in the position it did. Taking into consideration all the damages on it. So it kinda interests me to figure these things out. :thinker:
lol, CSI, not really a fan, but it's good.

yeah, fast cars are no joke I have came to realise.

picked up the e46 m3 yesterday, after 4 years with the e36 328i. they are not even slightly comparable. I have not taken it over 5K RPM as it scares the shit out of me :) defiantely going up to joberg to do the bmw high performance driving course

Congrats on the M3! That driving course will definitely be money well spent!
It is bad timing getting a car like that and now it's raining in CT too...

Put some pics in the showroom forum man!!! I took one for a test drive a while ago and ended up driving to Langebaan with the salesman having a fat chat about cricket, cars and fly fishing :)
